Hearing Aid Technology
Though there are many varieties, in general, a hearing aid is a device designed to bring sound more effectively to the wearer’s ear.
Hearing aids consist of four parts, a microphone, a receiver or ‘loudspeaker’ and an amplifier chip that is powered by a miniature battery.
Many people think of a hearing aid as a large, obvious device but with recent advancements in technology, modern hearing aids can be so small they are virtually unnoticeable.
A hearing aid might not be able to provide the wearer with perfect hearing, but in most cases they can provide a significant improvement in overcoming the effects of hearing loss.
